I’d love to help you with that! Since I’m not a licensed insurance agent I’m not actually permitted to interpret your company’s policy, but I can share with you our requirements so you can contact your insurer’s customer service. They should be able to tell you definitively if their policy covers your travel.
- You’ll want to check directly with your insurance provider that your policy covers:
- Emergency and/or routine medical services for all locations in your itinerary and flight path
- All optional and included activities listed in your Program itinerary [provide the link]
- Medical evacuation including transportation
- Ensure that there are no exclusion clauses which would limit the coverage for activities listed in your itinerary
- If your insurance does work, you can just enter the provider name and policy number in the portal or send it to use to enter. Students should carry their insurance information while traveling on Rustic Pathways programs.
- We also recommend some form of trip cancellation coverage (this usually includes travel delay, trip interruption, lost baggage, cancellation due to illness.), as this helps provide peace of mind.
